Sunday School classes and Care Groups help members stay connected!

EastanalleeService-317-ministryEastanallee Baptist Church offers Sunday school classes to minister to adults in all situations and in every stage of life. Let us help you find a class that meets your needs and where you can help meet the needs of others.  Whatever stage of life you are in –  single, newly engaged, just married, raising a family, empty nesters, senior adult – we have something for you. All classes meet at 11:00 a.m. immediately following the Sunday morning worship service.

With Care Group Leaders in every class, no one is overlooked. They keep in touch with ten to twelve class members and guests each week. By getting and staying connected, you can better grow in the Lord and better share who He is in your life.  Visit classes starting today! From babies to senior adults everyone can find a place!

Classrooms for Senior Adults and Babies through Fifth Grade are on the main campus of Eastanallee.

EastanalleenurseryThe children remain in the same room for both the morning worship and Sunday School. A check-in system is in place for children Kindergarten age and under. In case of emergency we request all first time guests complete a family information form (allergies, special needs, etc.).

The Nursery is staffed with paid as well as volunteer caregivers who keep the same group of children on a regular basis. Up to age two, children are promoted by developmental stages.

EastanalleepreschoolSunday School classes are in place for Two’s, Three’s, Fours-PreK5s and for Kindergarten. Each class encompasses a one year age span.  Promotion takes place annually in the fall of the year when school begins (based on the McMinn County School Systems requirement that children entering Kindergarten must be age 5 on or before August 15th of that school year). During Sunday School these children are provided a snack, teaching time, and playtime.

Eastanalleechildren The Elementary classes are First, Second, Third/Fourth and Fifth grades. These children have age-appropriate lessons, games, and hands-on learning activities. These lessons include a DVD Presentation to help the children understand the text and to assist them in applying it to their life.

We currently use Explore the Bible curriculum by Lifeway, and both children and preschoolers study a book of the Bible at a time. Family “cards” are sent home weekly to assist parents in reinforcing the lesson and guiding their own family in walking with the Lord.

EastanalleeyouthSunday School for Students is under the leadership of Pastor Brad Bennett. Using Lifeway’s “Explore the Bible” series, the lessons guide students through a book by book study of the Bible.  Beginning with a joint session for grades 6–12, Pastor Brad teaches during the first half of Sunday School.  The large group session takes place in the main room on the upper floor of the Creasman Chapel (the former worship center), the facility across from the main EBC Campus.

Following the opening session the students go to classrooms on the lower floor, separate into groups of guys and girls, then divide into these groupings: 6th–8th grades, 9th-10th  grades and 11th-12th grades.  We refer to the 9th–12th graders as Youth, and the middle school 6th-8th graders as “Refuge.”

A class for students who have graduated who may or may not attend college also meets during this time, and joins in the joint teaching session.  They also break out into a separate group for study following the large group session.

EastanalleeSundayschool2There are 10–12 adult classes underway at any given time with a wide variety of groupings; a young women’s class, two senior ladies classes, a senior men’s class, a class for young adults, classes for young marrieds, for young families, older couples, focused studies, and even one class that serves breakfast each week.  They vary in topic, people-group, and size.  Try every one until you find the right “fit.” Each class hosts activities throughout the year – in-reach and outreach; bring your friends!

If you are looking for a class and don’t know where to begin, ask one of the EBC staff or talk with, “the Answer Man” stationed at the Welcome Center each Sunday morning.Eastanallee-sundayschool
